Responsible water management and renewable energy
LUMINE Mediterránea Beach&Golf Community is a golfers’ paradise. Everything here is green: 170 hectares devoted to three golf courses with the 45 newest holes in Spain and two club-houses. Each of these courses gives the player a different experience. Not only because of the challenge they pose, but also for their design: the 18 holes of the Lakes Course are fully embedded in Nature, around the wetlands; the 9 holes in the Ruins Course run between archaeological ruins; and from the 18-hole Hills Course, you can view the quarries, pine groves and the sea.
LUMINE Golf Club’s three courses were the first in Spain to obtain the prestigious “Audubon International Signature Sanctuary” Certificate. Audubon International is an environmental organisation whose aim is to assist entities and companies to protect and respect the earth, water, wildlife and the resources that we have around us. To win this Certificate, LUMINE Golf Club had to meet strict environmental criteria.
The Certificate highlights the responsible management of water, the use of renewable energy, the conservation and active development of autochthonous flora and fauna and the recovery of natural spaces.
Since 2011 LUMINE Mediterranea Beach & Golf Community facilities are on the EMAS registration and certified by ISO 14001.
